Why Microgen® GN-ID Matters?

The Microgen® GN-ID A and GN-ID B systems deliver fast, accurate, and cost-effective biochemical identification of Gram-negative bacteria. With extensive species coverage, software-assisted interpretation, and rapid turnaround times, these kits enhance laboratory workflow, reduce errors, and support regulatory compliance, making them ideal for food safety testing, clinical diagnostics, and quality control.

2. Microgen® Listeria-ID

The Microgen® Listeria-ID system is designed to identify and differentiate Listeria species directly from selective agar plates. Using a 12-well biochemical system with enhanced haemolysis visualization, it eliminates the need for sub-culturing or additional confirmatory tests such as the CAMP test, saving valuable time while maintaining high accuracy.

This system enables laboratories to easily distinguish haemolytic and non-haemolytic Listeria spp., providing faster and clearer results for food and clinical microbiology testing.

An Identification System for Listeria spp.

Microgen® Listeria-ID REPORT FORM_edited

Microgen Listeria-ID employs 12 standardised microwell substrates combined with the Microgen Identification System Software to identify the following members of the genus Listeria:

> Listeria monocytogenes

> Listeria welshimeri
> Listeria ivanovii
> Listeria innocua
> Listeria grayi
> Listeria seeligeri

The above organisms can be identified directly from selective agar or non-selective agar using Microgen Listeria-ID. Identification is achieved using all the tests recommended in international standard methods for the identification of Listeria spp. without the need for additional confirmatory tests.
