1. Separate Swabs
Separate the required number of swabs.

1. Swab
Recover bacteria from the surface using a pre-moistened swab (neutralizes common detergents).

Insert the swab into the organism-specific media; the break point allows easy and sterile transfer.

Incubate the media as per instructions, either with the Path-Chek® Heat Bath or by using a standard laboratory incubator

A colour change in the media indicates the presence of target bacteria (Salmonella, Listeria, or Coliforms).
